James Hogarth
Managing Partner & Founder
Based in London, James leads our Global Executive Search business, overseeing C-suite assignments and strategic build-out projects. For over two and a half decades he has partnered with clients predominantly in the Hedge Fund industry to shape businesses globally, working closely with them to appoint leaders and build teams.
He leverages from his extensive Executive Search experience to provide bespoke Advisory services to a number of key clients. Prior to founding Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 1995, James worked in Investment Banking, running a Capital Markets business for an International Bank.

Managing Partner & Founder
Guy leads our Global Executive Search business, focusing on C-suite and Global Head mandates across the Alternative Investment Management and Investment Banking industries. He has been instrumental in advising a number of clients on their broader hiring, business building and succession strategies, working across products, functions and geographies.
Based in London, Guy works on mandates across the US, Europe and Asia. Prior to founding Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 1995, Guy worked for a major European Investment Bank, specialising in International Primary and Secondary Equities in London and Hong Kong.

Partner
Lana leads our Portfolio Management practice in the US, specialising in hiring into the Alternatives space across a variety of strategies including Long/Short Equity, Credit, Quant and Macro. She is based in our New York office. Prior to joining Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 2020, Lana spent four years at Paloma Partners where she focused on recruiting Portfolio Managers across Algorithmic and Relative Value strategies.
Lana began her career at Visium Asset Management where she ran the global recruitment function for the firm. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from New York University.

Bill focuses on strategic build out projects and senior executive searches for Alternative Investment Management and Investment Banking clients across a variety of products and functions. He is based in our New York office and first joined Hogarth Davies Lloyd in London in 2014.
Bill previously worked for one of the large global executive search firms where he specialised in search and succession planning projects for Chair, Group CEO and other senior Executive and Non-Executive Board roles for FTSE 100 and equivalent companies. He holds a degree in Social Sciences from the University of Bath.

Nicola specialises in Global Markets with a particular focus on Sales, Trading, and Structuring across Rates and Credit. She also has a special interest in the Asset Finance and Securitisation markets. Nicola is based in our London office, working on mandates in Europe and the US.
Prior to joining Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 2004, she worked for two other Executive Search firms, notably playing a key role in establishing the Fixed Income business at one of these firms and going on to lead their credit and securitization practice. She spent the first five years of her career at a Tokyo-based Executive Search firm with a focus on the Fixed Income market. Nicola holds a degree in Economics.

James specialises in the Capital Markets and Loan Markets with a primary focus on DCM, ECM, Origination, Syndicate and Advisory across Investment Grade and High Yield / Leveraged Finance. He additionally works on Corporate Infrastructure mandates with clients in the Alternatives space. He is based in our London office, working on searches across Europe and the US.
Prior to joining Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 2004, James spent four years working for a well-known recruitment firm, focusing on the Debt and Structured Finance markets. He started his career in the British Army, serving as an Officer in a variety of locations around the world. He holds a degree in Ancient History from Reading University.

Kirsteen focuses on Senior Corporate Infrastructure mandates within the Alternative Investment Management industry, in addition to partnering with Investment Banking clients on Corporate Finance Searches. She is based in our London office, working with clients in the US and Europe.
Prior to joining Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 2017, Kirsteen worked in Financial Services recruitment. She started her career working for a Hedge Fund Consultancy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English & French from the University of Nottingham.

Robin specialises in Research, Strategy and Economics across the Global Credit and Rates Markets. He is based in our London office, working on mandates across Europe, the US and Asia.
Prior to joining Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 2019, Robin worked in Executive Search for over two decades, having previously worked as a Credit Analyst at NatWest and National Australia Bank for five years. Robin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Nottingham Trent University.

Charlie leads our APAC business, focusing on senior mandates across Distribution and Trading, Portfolio Management, Investment Banking and Infrastructure. He is based in our Singapore office. Prior to joining Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 2019, Charlie founded his own Singapore-based Executive Search firm.
Previously, he was a Managing Director at Barclays, running the bank’s Prime Services Asian Distribution team. Prior to moving to Asia in 2009, Charlie ran Barclays’ Fixed Income Prime Brokerage business in London, having previously worked at SG Warburg in a number of Fixed Income Trading and Sales roles.

Tom focuses on senior mandates within the Alternative Investment Management industry. He is based in our London office, working on searches in the US and Europe.
Prior to joining Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 2015, he worked for a London-based recruitment consultancy where he worked on Corporate Governance mandates for Global Investment Banks and Alternative Investment Managers. He began his career working in the Psychology department of a multinational insurer. Tom studied Sociology at the University of Nottingham.

Jelena leads the Global Business Development and Investor Relations practice, working for a diverse portfolio of clients including Asset Managers, Hedge Funds and FinTech firms. She is based in our New York office.
Prior to joining Hogarth Davies Lloyd in 2016, Jelena worked at a specialist Executive Search firm leading the North American Business Development and Investor Relations practice for the firm’s Asset Management and Hedge Fund clients. Before this, she worked at a global Financial Services executive search firm in London and relocated to New York in 2006 to help grow their North American business. Jelena started her career as a Compensation Advisor at McLagan Partners in London. She holds a degree in Social Psychology from the University of Sussex.
